What should I expect when I arrive at the Qi centre?
First you will be asked to fill in a health questionnaire, detailing any symptoms, physical or emotional conditions you are suffering from. You will be able to discuss your ailments and hopes for the healing with the Qi Master. You will then receive Qi Treatment and have time to discuss the Qi Masters findings and advice concerning your health.
How does Qi Treatment work?
Qi Treatment begins with you lying on your back. The Qi Master will check your energy circulation by resting their hands on your abdomen area. They will then begin to open the energy pathways by working on pressure points on your abdomen, arms, legs, neck, shoulders and head. At the same time, they will emit a sound made with their breath to push energy into your body. You will then turn over whilst they stimulate points on your back, shoulders, arms and legs. Finally you will sit up whilst the master loosens the tension in your shoulders and neck. The whole process takes around 15 minutes and the results are normally felt instantly.
What should I expect to feel after receiving Qi Treatment?
Most people report they feel lighter, calmer and less stressed, as well as feeling more energised.
Are there any negative effects?
Most people feel immediately better but it is possible to feel more tired following the Qi Treatment whilst energy fully digests into your system. In some cases, when someone is holding a lot of toxic energy in their body, Qi Treatment stimulates the movement and the further release of these toxins over some days. This may mean you would get a cold, mild headache or other symptom which would normally disappear in a day or two, but is part of the healing process. Always consult your medical practitioner if you have any concerns.
Can I receive a Qi Treatment whilst on medication or receiving other treatment?
Yes. There is no evidence to suggest that Qi Treatment interferes with any medication or other treatments. Always consult your medical practitioner if you have any concerns.
My body is very sensitive to touch. Will I be able to withstand the pressure?
Even though Qi Treatment involves acupressure which may cause some discomfort, when you have stress or tension in the body and it is released you feel much better. Qi Masters treat all ages from young children through to the elderly, the pressure and style of treatment is adjusted accordingly. If you are particularly sensitive you may wish to advise the Qi Master before the session.
What is the cost for a Qi Treatment?
In London, Qi Treatment costs £40 with a Qi Master and £60 with a senior Qi Master. Concessions receive a discount and prices can vary at regional centres so please call for information. You may also purchase a course of Qi Treatments at a discounted rate.
